Mr. Chervenick began his legal career as an assistant district attorney in Pittsburgh, where he was in the General Trial Unit and later the Crimes Person Unit, wherein he primarily tried sexual assault cases. For ten months, Mr. Chervenick was the ADA in City Court, where he prosecuted more than 8,000 preliminary hearings.
In 1988, he joined Henderson and Goldberg, which later became Goldberg, Persky & White, P.C., where he has tried asbestos cases as well as other types of serious personal injury cases. He has been a shareholder of the Firm since 1992. Mr. Chervenick has tried more than 150 jury trials to verdict in Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia and Iowa in both state and federal courts. He also has tried more than 200 non jury trials to verdict. Mr. Chervenick has obtained millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements on behalf of the Firm’s clients.
Mr. Chervenick is a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, a prestigious organization whose members are limited to those invited and accepted by the top trial lawyers in Allegheny County. He is licensed to practice law in all state and federal trial and appellate courts in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Mr. Chervenick graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 1981 and Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1984.
