Joe was born and raised in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania and his upbringing in this blue collar section of Pittsburgh has given him a special appreciation for, and a keen understanding of, the working men and women he represents. Joe considers it a point of personal pride to enforce the legal rights of his clients against the large corporations who routinely put profits before people.
Joe is a graduate of Allegheny College where he majored in Psychology with a minor in Communication Arts. He later went to night school at Duquesne University School of Law – putting himself through law school by working as a stock by in a local grocery store and then as a law clerk for the Allegheny County District Attorney and his current employer, Goldberg, Persky, and White.
Joe is licensed in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Michigan and has been involved in asbestos litigation for the entirety of his thirty-year legal career. As a result, he has developed extensive knowledge regarding asbestos defendants and the asbestos-containing products and equipment they manufactured. However, vast experience is worthless if an attorney does not have the ability to work well with their clients and Joe’s blue collar upbringing has made him especially well-suited to do just that. His ability to relate to clients as well as the knowledge and experience he has gained since 1992 preparing thousands of cases for trial have resulted in many millions of dollars in compensation for his clients.
Joe lives in Edgewood with his wife of 21 years, Jeanne, and their children Joseph and Mia. In his spare time, Joe is an avid mountain biker and can be found almost every day in the woods of Frick Park or on the basketball courts of Edgewood and Forest Hills.
