Attorney, Lane A. Clack, is a shareholder and member of the firm’s executive management committee at Goldberg, Persky & White, P.C. Mr. Clack graduated from Aquinas College in 1982 and from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1985. He is licensed to practice in Michigan, Pennsylvania, the US District Court for the Western District of Michigan and the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Thousands of asbestos victims and their families have benefited from Mr. Clack’s litigation experience. Since 1986, he has prepared thousands of cases for trial and is regarded as the preeminent expert on asbestos litigation in Michigan. His efforts on behalf of those suffering from Mesothelioma, Lung Cancer and Asbestosis have resulted in millions of dollars in settlements for his clients and their families.
Mr. Clack has a very thorough knowledge of the asbestos products that were made and sold by a large number of companies during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, which were distributed and used throughout The State of Michigan and elsewhere. In addition, Mr. Clack is very familiar with many of the industrial facilities where his clients worked, including the following: Great Lakes Steel, McLouth Steel, Ford Rouge Steel, General Motors Grey Iron, Malleable Iron and Nodular Iron Foundries, CWC Foundry. Various Powerhouses throughout Michigan including those owned and operated by Consumers Power, Detroit Edison, Indiana and Michigan Electric. Nuclear Plants including Palisades Nuclear Plant and D.C. Cook Nuclear Plant. Various automobile industry plants owned and operated by GM, Ford and Chrysler throughout Michigan. Various Chemical Plants and Oil Refineries including Marathon Oil, Leonard/Total Refinery, Dow Chemical, Dow Corning, Dow Petrochem, Hooker Chemical and DuPont. Various Paper Mills including S. D. Warren, Mead, Smurfit-Stone, Dunn, Domtar, Abitibi and Fletcher. Shipboard and dry-dock exposure on USS Great Lakes Fleet Ships which ported throughout Michigan.
Among his various responsibilities with the firm, he manages their practice in Michigan and Indiana. He oversees their Michigan Asbestos Bankruptcy Trust claim process which has developed the most extensive database of product identification in The State of Michigan.
